Bailey Unicorn Cadiz – 2016 Caravan
The Unicorn Cadiz is one of the best-loved layouts Bailey has ever built, and it is easy to see why. This pre-owned 2016 Series 3 example pairs fixed twin single beds with a full-width end washroom, making it a firm favourite with couples who tour for weeks at a time. This used caravan has come to us well equipped, with a Truma solar panel on the roof and a Powrtouch motor mover already fitted – both confirmed in our photographs.
It is built on Bailey's Alu-Tech construction system, an interlocking aluminium framework with GRP outer skins that keeps timber out of the bodyshell for excellent protection against damp. The Series 3 Unicorn also carries the distinctive opening front sunroof that floods the lounge with light. Heating comes from the Alde wet central heating system – radiator-style warmth throughout the caravan and hot water on demand, which makes this a genuine all-season tourer.
On the road, the Cadiz runs on a single axle with an AL-KO ATC anti-snake system and hitch stabiliser fitted as standard, so it tows confidently behind a suitable family car or SUV on a standard UK license. With a Mass in Running Order of 1337kg and an MTPLM of 1491kg, there is a useful 154kg of payload for your touring kit. You can compare it against the rest of our used caravans, but fixed-single Unicorns are always in demand. The bodyshell quality is testament to Bailey of Bristol's design philosophy, and you can research this caravan's history on the CRiS website using the VIN below.

WHAT OWNERS LOVE ABOUT THE UNICORN VIGO
- Fixed single beds made up all holiday – no nightly converting, and each of you gets your own proper bed with easy access.
- Alde wet central heating – silent, even warmth like a house radiator system, superb for early spring and late autumn touring.
- Solar panel fitted – the Truma panel keeps the leisure battery topped up on pitches without hook-up.
- Powrtouch motor mover – pitch the caravan from the handset, no pushing required.
- Full-width end washroom – a proper shower cubicle and plenty of room to get ready in the morning.

INTERIOR HIGHLIGHTS
Bedroom: The heart of this layout – two fixed single beds at the rear, each with a slatted base for airflow, reading lights and storage beneath. The beds sit either side of a central walkway leading to the washroom, so there is no climbing over anyone at night.
Washroom: The full-width end washroom spans the back of the caravan with a separate shower cubicle, Thetford toilet, handbasin and generous storage. It genuinely feels like a small bathroom rather than a compromise.
Lounge: Up front, the lounge offers deep upholstered seating with scatter cushions, a chest of drawers with pull-out occasional table between the sofas, and the panoramic opening front sunroof above. The seating converts to a double bed when guests come along, taking the caravan to its four-berth capacity.
Kitchen: A well-appointed kitchen with a dual-fuel hob, oven and grill, a large Dometic fridge, integrated microwave and good worktop space, backed up by overhead lockers and drawers throughout.
Technology: Alde programmable heating and hot water, a JVC radio with speakers front and rear, an aerial signal booster, a Truma solar charge controller, mains sockets through the caravan and a full consumer unit with RCD protection.

EXTERIOR & TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS
Outside, the Cadiz carries the clean Series 3 Unicorn styling on alloy wheels, with the AL-KO ATC trailer control system and AKS hitch stabiliser giving reassuring, planted towing manners. The single axle keeps it easy to manoeuvre, and the fitted Powrtouch motor mover – confirmed at the wheel – handles the final positioning at the push of a button.
The Truma solar panel on the roof keeps the battery charged for off-grid pitches, working through the Truma dual battery charge controller inside. There is a dedicated gas locker, external service points, an external battery compartment and easy-access hatches for the water and waste systems. This pre-owned example presents very well inside and out. If the layout is not quite right for you, our full range of used caravans includes island beds, bunk layouts and twin axles.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Has the caravan been checked for damp?
A: Every used caravan we sell at Golden Castle is inspected before it goes on sale. Ask us for the details on this Cadiz when you enquire or visit, and we will happily talk you through its condition.Q: Can I tow this on my driving license?
A: Yes. With an MTPLM of 1491kg, this caravan can be towed on a standard UK license with a suitable tow car. Since the rules changed in 2021, drivers who passed after 1997 can tow up to 3,500kg of combined trailer weight, so this outfit is well within the limit for most drivers.Q: Will my car tow it?
A: As a rule of thumb, experienced caravanners aim for the caravan’s MTPLM to be no more than 85% of the car’s kerbweight, which suggests a car of around 1,750kg kerbweight or more for a comfortable match. Tell us what you drive and we will check the match for you.Q: What is the advantage of Alde heating over blown-air?
A: Alde is a wet central heating system, like radiators at home. It heats evenly and silently with no fan noise at night, and it also provides your hot water. It is one of the main reasons tourers who travel out of season look for this model.Q: Does the solar panel mean I can camp without electric hook-up?
A: The fitted Truma solar panel tops up the leisure battery whenever there is daylight, which supports lighting, the water pump and 12v equipment on non-electric pitches. For longer off-grid stays we can advise on battery capacity to suit how you tour.Q: What do I need to buy before my first trip?
A: Beyond the caravan itself you will want a leisure battery, gas bottle, water and waste containers, a hitch lock and a step. We can advise on all of it and get you set up ready to tow away.Q: Do you take part exchange?
A: Contact us with the details of your current caravan and we will be happy to discuss a part exchange valuation.Q: Can I check the caravan’s history myself?
A: Absolutely. The CRiS number is SGBSCC4BYGUN03116 and you can verify it independently on the CRiS website – we encourage every buyer to do so.
