Measure the body of the caravan along the bottom, excluding the A-frame, before choosing your size. Don’t automatically buy a larger cover “just to be safe”. Too much loose material can move around unnecessarily in windy conditions, while a cover that is too small will be difficult to secure correctly. Owners of wider caravans should also check the width rather than relying on length alone, as MP9537 is specifically designed for caravans around 2.6m wide.

Before fitting, make sure the caravan is clean and dry and pad any particularly sharp or protruding fittings that could rub against the fabric. Once fitted, use the elasticated hem and adjustable straps to take up excess material rather than pulling the cover excessively tight.

1. What size Maypole caravan cover do I need?
Measure along the bottom of the caravan body, excluding the A-frame. Match this measurement to the appropriate size range rather than using the caravan’s overall towing length.

2. What sizes are available?
The standard-width range covers caravans from up to 4.1m through to 7.4m long. There is also an MP9537 extra-wide version for caravans measuring 6.2–6.8m long and approximately 2.6m wide.

3. Which product code matches each size?
MP9531 fits up to 4.1m, MP9532 fits 4.1–5.0m, MP9533 fits 5.0–5.6m, MP9534 fits 5.6–6.2m, MP9535 fits 6.2–6.8m, MP9536 fits 6.8–7.4m and MP9537 fits 6.2–6.8m extra-wide caravans.

4. Is the Maypole Premium Caravan Cover waterproof?
Maypole describes the material as highly water resistant rather than completely waterproof. It has been independently tested to withstand up to a 1000mm hydrostatic pressure head.

5. Is the cover breathable?
Yes. The 4-ply polypropylene fabric allows moisture and condensation to evaporate, which is particularly important during longer periods of storage.

6. Will it scratch my caravan?
The inner surface has a soft non-abrasive backing designed to protect the caravan finish when correctly fitted. The caravan should still be cleaned before fitting, as trapped dirt can cause abrasion.

7. Can I get into the caravan while the cover is fitted?
Yes. Three zip positions on the nearside allow access to the caravan door without completely removing the cover.

8. Is a hitch cover included?
Yes. A breathable hitch cover with an adjustable strap is supplied with the caravan cover.

9. Can I tow the caravan with this cover fitted?
No. This is a full storage cover and should be removed before towing. A dedicated front towing cover should be used if you want protection while travelling.

10. What else comes with the cover?
Maypole supplies the cover with a storage bag, breathable hitch cover and self-adhesive repair patch. The cover also incorporates fitting pockets that can be used with poles to help position it, although the pole itself is not included.
