Measure the full length of your motorhome before ordering and don’t rely solely on the model name or quoted manufacturer’s vehicle length. Maypole specifically recommends moving up to the next cover size if your motorhome has a cab hump, as this takes up additional material and can make an otherwise correct-length cover too tight.

Before fitting, make sure the bodywork is clean and protect or fold away sharp projections such as aerials, guttering, mirrors and ladders. Avoid fitting the cover in strong winds and don’t over-tighten the securing straps. The aim is a secure fit with minimal loose fabric, not to stretch the cover tightly over the vehicle.

1. What size Maypole Motorhome Cover do I need?
Measure the overall length of your motorhome and match it to the appropriate Maypole size range. If your motorhome has a cab hump, Maypole recommends choosing the next size up.

2. What are the six available sizes?
MP9421 fits up to 5.7m, MP9422 fits 5.7–6.0m, MP9423 fits 6.0–6.5m, MP9424 fits 6.5–7.0m, MP9425 fits 7.0–7.5m and MP9426 fits 7.5–8.0m motorhomes.

3. Is the Maypole Motorhome Cover waterproof?
Maypole describes it as highly water resistant rather than completely waterproof. The material has been tested up to a 1000mm hydrostatic pressure head.

4. Is the cover breathable?
Yes. The 4-ply polypropylene material allows moisture and naturally occurring condensation to evaporate more readily during storage.

5. Can I access the motorhome while the cover is fitted?
Yes. Additional zips are positioned on both sides of the cover to provide access to motorhome doors without having to remove the entire cover.

6. Will it scratch the motorhome bodywork?
The material is non-abrasive and designed to protect the vehicle finish. You should still clean the motorhome before fitting, as dirt or grit trapped underneath any cover can cause rubbing.

7. What do the four corner zips do?
The zips allow the sides of the cover to open up during fitting, making it easier to position over a large motorhome before securing it.

8. Can I drive the motorhome with the cover fitted?
No. This is a storage cover and must be completely removed before driving the vehicle.

9. Is it suitable for winter storage?
Yes. It is designed to protect stored motorhomes against rain, snow, UV exposure, dust, leaves, birds and tree sap.

10. Does it come with a storage bag?
Yes. A storage bag and fitting instructions are included. Allow the cover to dry fully before packing it away.
