If you’ve been caravanning for a while, you know that feeling. The air gets a bit crisper, the leaves start to turn, and you’re thinking about squeezing in one last trip before winter. For us, and for thousands of others, that feeling means one thing: the Malvern show is just around the corner.
It’s the big end-of-season get-together at the Three Counties Showground, a proper send-off for the touring year. But for us here at Golden Castle, it’s a bit more than that. It’s personal. It’s a show that holds a special place in our hearts, and we thought you might like to hear the story.
A Little Bit of History (Our History!)
You see, long before the show became the huge event it is today, it was our baby. We started the Malvern Caravan Show way back in the early 90s. We poured our hearts and souls into it, building it from the ground up. For years, it was a brilliant event, a place for fellow caravanners to meet, grab a bargain, and share their passion.
But things change. Around 2008, the landscape of caravan shows started to shift. The big show at the NEC in Birmingham was getting more and more popular, and it put a huge strain on the big caravan manufacturers. They told us they just couldn’t support both shows anymore; it was becoming too challenging for them to stretch their resources that thin. It was a tough pill to swallow, but we understood. We knew that for the show to survive and thrive, it needed a different kind of support.
So, we passed the torch. The show is now run by Warners, who do a fantastic job organising shows all over the country. And we’re genuinely thrilled to see it continue to be such a massive success and a highlight of the caravanning calendar.
So, What’s the Malvern Show All About Now?
Today, The Malvern Caravan & Motorhome Show is the grand finale of the show season, and it’s an absolute belter of a weekend.
First off, don’t get it mixed up with the other big show at Malvern in August. That one’s the Western Motorhome & Campervan Show, which is brilliant if you love country and western music, but it’s a totally different vibe. The October show is the one for the serious bargain hunters and anyone wanting a sneak peek at what’s coming next.
It’s the perfect time of year for dealers to clear out their remaining stock, which means you can find some cracking end-of-season deals. But it’s also the first chance to see some of the shiny new 2026 models in the flesh.
What makes it really special, though, is that it’s the only show the organisers run where you’ll find a massive display of touring caravans for sale right next to all the motorhomes and campervans. So, if you’re trying to decide between a caravan and a motorhome, there is honestly no better place to be. You can wander between them, compare layouts, and get a real feel for what would suit you best.
More Than Just Vans: A Proper Weekend Away
What we’ve always loved about Malvern is that it’s not just a stuffy exhibition. It’s a proper festival. Thousands of people camp for the weekend, and the price of your pitch gets you four nights of live entertainment included. The atmosphere is just fantastic – friendly, relaxed, and full of people who love life on the road as much as we do.
During the day, there’s always something going on. They have a charity coffee morning for Macmillan, which is always popular, and on the Sunday, there’s a Fun Dog Show with categories like “Dog with the Waggiest Tail”. It’s just good, honest fun.
And if you fancy a break from the showground, they even run a shuttle bus into Malvern town centre on the Saturday, so you can pop in for a bit of shopping or a pub lunch.

Come and Say Hello – We’ll Be There!
Even though we don’t run the show anymore, we wouldn’t miss it for the world. We’ve been there as an exhibitor every single year since we handed it over, and this year is no different.
We love catching up with old friends and making new ones, and we’re always up for a chat about anything and everything to do with caravanning.
So please, come and find us. We’ll be on our usual stand, W5, inside the main hall. Pop over, say hello, have a look around the fantastic caravans we’ll have on display, and let us know what adventures you’ve been on.
We can’t wait to see you there!
