1. What checks are done on your used caravans? Every pre-owned caravan we sell, including this Acadia 575, undergoes a thorough pre-delivery inspection in our workshop. This covers all habitation equipment (gas, water, electrics), running gear (brakes, chassis, tyres), and crucially, a comprehensive damp check using professional moisture meters. This ensures you’re buying a caravan that’s safe, reliable, and ready to enjoy.

2. What is a ‘Platinum Edition’ dealer special? The ‘Platinum Edition’ is a special version of the Coachman Acadia, produced for a specific dealership. It means it was factory-fitted with a pack of valuable extras that weren’t included on the standard model, such as the exclusive upholstery, grey sides, and the external BBQ and mains points. We find they represent brilliant value.

3. Is Alde heating a significant advantage? Yes, in our experience, it’s a major upgrade. The Alde system uses radiators to provide silent, even heat throughout the caravan, much like home central heating. It’s more comfortable and generally preferred for all-season touring compared to standard blown-air systems.

4. What is the benefit of the retractable island bed? The island bed in the Acadia 575 is a clever design. It allows you to retract the bed during the day, creating a much wider walkway to get to the end washroom. At night, it extends to a full-length, comfortable double bed that you can access from both sides.
