Bedroom: The fixed French double sits along the nearside with the washroom wall at its foot – a proper permanent bed with storage beneath, reading lights and a window alongside. Together with the washroom behind it, the whole rear of the caravan becomes a private bedroom suite.

Washroom: The full-width end washroom spans the back with a separate shower, cassette toilet, basin and generous storage – genuinely one of the best washrooms in this class of caravan.

Lounge: Up front, the parallel lounge offers two full-length sofas, a central chest of drawers, overhead lockers and plenty of natural light. It converts to a second double bed, giving the Valencia its four-berth capacity for visiting family or friends.

Kitchen: The central kitchen comes equipped with a hob, oven and grill, sink, fridge and good overhead and drawer storage.

The Portofino tows on an AL-KO chassis with the ATC electronic anti-snake system, a stabiliser hitch and alloy wheels, and despite the 8ft width it remains a single axle – so it stays manageable on site and on the road. Q: There are no photos yet – can I still view the caravan?
A: Yes, absolutely. The caravan is here on our forecourt and ready to view right now – the professional photographs simply have not been taken yet. Call ahead or just pop in, and you will see it before it is even fully advertised.

Q: Has the caravan been checked for damp?
A: Every used caravan we sell at Golden Castle is inspected before sale. Its Alu-Tech construction keeps timber out of the bodyshell specifically to resist damp. Ask us to talk you through the inspection when you visit.

Q: What is a French bed?
A: A fixed double bed that runs along the side wall of the caravan, with the washroom tucked behind it. You get a permanent made-up double without the extra length an island bed layout needs – which keeps the caravan lighter and easier to tow.

Q: Can I tow this on my driving license?
A: Yes. With an MTPLM of 1499kg it is towable on a standard UK license with a suitable tow car. Since the rules changed in 2021, drivers who passed after 1997 can tow up to 3,500kg of combined trailer weight.

Q: Will my car tow it?
A: Using the 85% rule of thumb, a car with a kerbweight of around 1,750kg or more is a comfortable match. Tell us what you drive and we will check it for you.

Q: What is the advantage of Alde heating over blown-air?
A: Alde is a wet central heating system, like radiators at home. It heats evenly and silently with no fan noise at night, and it also provides your hot water. It is one of the main reasons tourers who travel out of season look for the Unicorn range.
