These poles are an Optional Extra in the Camptech accessory catalogue, intended for users who want to open panels without losing stability. They sit approx waist-height between your awning’s vertical uprights, supporting the weight of panels when unzipped or rolled down. The construction uses alloy to balance strength vs weight; pole clamps secure them firmly. Ideal for use in mild to moderate weather, but in high wind, the opened panels should either be closed or better supported (e.g. with secure straps).

1. Will these poles fit my specific awning?
   They’re designed for Camptech awnings with vertical uprights (traditional or seasonal types) that allow you to open front or side panels. Check if your awning has upright supports in the positions you want veranda open.

2. How do I install them?
   Extend the pole to the needed height, clamp each end onto the vertical uprights of the awning (front or side). Make sure clamps are tight. Then unroll or unzip the panel to use veranda style; the support poles will hold the panel lip open.

3. Can I use them on inflatable awnings?
   Possibly on inflatable awnings that have rigid vertical uprights or rigid frame supports where the pole clamps can be fixed. For full inflatable beams with no rigid uprights, compatibility may be limited.

4. How much extra stability do they add?
   They significantly reduce sagging or flapping of front/side panels when opened, which improves aesthetics and helps reduce wind-lift. However, they don’t replace proper secure straps in windy conditions.

5. What height range do they cover?
   They are adjustable — from approx waist height up to suitable full panel opening height. Specific ranges depend on awning model and pole size. For example, advertised sizes might adjust between ~1.9 m to ~3.75 m depending on model.

6. Are they lightweight and portable?
