The SL500 Secure Straps are part of Camptech’s Techline range of accessories aimed at improving stability of awnings, especially in changing weather.   Yes — they’re compatible with Camptech Traditional Awnings and Kensington Traditional Inflatable Awnings. They attach to the sewn-on buckles on the awning annexe.

• How do I set them up?
  One strap on each side: clip the male buckle to the sewn buckle on your awning, run the strap out to the steel peg in the ground, pull to tension via the adjustable buckle.

• What kind of ground do the pegs work in?
  Best in grass, soil or mixed earth. In very soft ground you may need longer/more pegs; in rocky or hard ground, consider specialist pegs.

• Do the straps reduce wind damage?
  Yes — they reduce flapping, uplift, and movement in wind, helping your awning stay intact in adverse conditions.

• Are they usable in wet/weather?
  Yes — straps are weather-resistant, stored in a waterproof bag. But ensure the storage bag is dried before packing away to avoid mildew.
