Additional Product Information
This is an optional extra accessory for the Camptech Starline / Starline Elite range. The Starline Elite is available in widths 200, 260, 300, and 390 cm, all with a depth of 250 cm. The veranda pole is designed to integrate seamlessly with the inflatable air-frame uprights; clamps at each end secure it in position. When installed, you can partially lower or roll the front panel over the veranda pole to create shade or an open-front feel while maintaining a framework. It is particularly useful in warm weather or when you want views without full exposure. The alloy build helps resist corrosion and bending, though in very windy conditions the veranda pole should be used with care. The pole’s adjustability lets it fit between various support poles of the awning; exact adjustment depends on your awning width.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Will this veranda pole fit my Starline / Starline Elite awning?
Yes — as long as your awning is one of the widths that support veranda accessories (200, 260, 300, 390 cm) and has the standard vertical uprights. The pole is adjustable to span between those uprights. -
How do I install it?
Attach the clamps on each end of the pole to the vertical upright poles of the awning at around waist height. Ensure the pole is level and secured well. Then unzip/roll the front panel (or side, if applicable) partly down over it. -
Does it affect water runoff or rain performance?
Potentially — if the front panel is dropped, water may collect unless the panel is properly tensioned over the pole to ensure slope. Using the veranda pole means being mindful in rain to avoid water pooling. -
How does it improve ventilation / comfort?
It allows you to drop the front panel, which increases airflow, shade, visibility and can reduce heat build-up. You get more of an open, veranda effect rather than being fully enclosed. -
Is it strong in windy conditions?
The alloy pole is sturdy, but lowered front panels expose more wind. Secure clamps, use pegs, and perhaps close up front in gusty or exposed sites. -
What is included in the package?
The pole itself with clamps on each end. Does not include the front panel or curtains etc. Those are part of the awning. -
How heavy / bulky is the veranda pole?
Very little compared to the awning body. The alloy pole is lightweight and packs down compactly. -
What warranty is offered?
Comes with Camptech’s standard 12-month manufacturer’s warranty for accessories covering faults in materials or workmanship. -
Can it be used on both front and side panels?
Yes — pole can be fitted across front or side, depending on desired configuration. Usually used front, but side veranda panels are possible if rigging and clamp positions allow. -
Is this better than an inflatable veranda bar?
Depends on preference: the alloy pole is rigid and simple; inflatable veranda bars may be easier to set up and don’t require poles. Alloy may offer better stiffness and stability under certain conditions.
