This holder works best on soft ground – grass, earth or soil – where the spike will go in easily. On hard or stony ground, you may need to first make a pilot hole or avoid using it. The plastic cup rest is durable enough for regular use, but avoid placing hot mugs with metal bottoms that could damage it. The height gives good reach from seated or standing positions. It is mostly useful for light touring and casual use rather than rough terrain.

1. Will this fit into hard ground?
   Not easily — the spike works best in soft ground. On compacted or rocky ground it may be difficult or may damage the spike.

2. Is it suitable for all drink types?
   Yes — it supports cans, bottles, or mugs with standard shapes (not oversized insulated bottles). As long as the base fits flush into the recess.

3. How tall is it?
   Approximately 67 cm in length from spike tip to cup rest top.

4. Is it stable in wind?
   It has limited wind resistance — for gusty conditions, keep your drink in safe containers and use a holder with wider base or use indoors under awning.

5. What weight is it?
   Light – about 200 g.

6. How do I install it?
   Press or gently hammer the spike into soft ground until the cup rest is at desired height. Ensure it’s secure before placing a drink.
