Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is Alde Heating? Unlike standard blown-air heating, Alde is a “wet” system that uses radiators and fluid, much like your central heating at home. It provides a silent, even heat throughout the van and is excellent for winter use.
2. What does the Solar Panel do? The solar panel constantly trickles charge into your leisure battery during daylight hours. This is vital for keeping your battery healthy while the caravan is in storage, and it allows you to use the lights and water pump even when you aren’t plugged into mains electricity (wild camping).
3. Can I tow this with a normal car? With an MTPLM of 1550kg, this is a solid caravan but still within the range of many capable family tow cars (like a VW Tiguan, Volvo V60, or similar). We can check your car’s legal towing limit for you.
4. Is the construction wood-free? Coachman uses “Advanced Bonded Construction” (ABC). This uses polyurethane (PU) materials instead of timber in the wall framework, which is impervious to water and significantly reduces the risk of damp issues.
