The Shade Curtain is most useful when you want to create shade or privacy in a specific spot rather than blocking off the whole front of the canopy. Because it slides freely along the rail, you can shift it during the day as the sun moves — something a fixed screen simply can’t do.

On busy campsites, it’s particularly handy for creating a more private seating area without putting up a full windbreak. Position it on the pitch-facing side of the canopy and it does the job neatly.

One thing to be aware of: in breezy conditions it will move along the rail unless you peg the bottom. Keep a couple of pegs nearby — it takes seconds to secure and makes it far more functional when there’s any wind about.
