First Impressions
The Challenger 500 is the first fixed-bed model in the range, moving up from the convertible lounges of the 390 and 480 to a genuine permanent bed at the rear, alongside a compact corner washroom that keeps the overall footprint tight. It’s a different way of living in the van day to day: the bed is always made up, so there’s no evening routine of converting the lounge, and the front lounge stays purely for daytime living.
At 4 berths and 6.53m, it’s a meaningful step up in both sleeping capacity and length from the 480, worth positioning clearly against it: choose the 480 if two people converting a lounge each night is fine, choose the 500 if a permanent bed and genuine 4-berth capacity matters more.
