Bailey Unicorn Cadiz – 2016 Caravan
The Unicorn Cadiz remains one of the most requested layouts Bailey has ever built, and this pre-owned 2016 Series 3 example shows exactly why. It pairs fixed twin single beds with a full-width end washroom, giving couples the option to sleep separately every night while still enjoying a genuine bathroom rather than a shared wet room. This example also comes with a motor mover fitted, making it even easier to live with.
It is built on Bailey's Alu-Tech construction system – an interlocking aluminium framework with GRP outer skins that keeps timber out of the bodyshell for excellent protection against damp. Heating comes from the Alde wet central heating system, confirmed fitted in our photographs: silent, radiator-style warmth throughout the caravan with hot water on demand, making this a genuine all-season tourer.
The numbers come straight off the weight plate on the caravan: a Mass in Running Order of 1337kg and an MTPLM of 1491kg, giving 154kg of payload. At this weight it tows comfortably behind a wide range of family cars and SUVs on a standard UK license, helped by the fitted AL-KO ATC anti-snake system and AKS stabiliser hitch, both confirmed at the tow point. You can compare it against the rest of our used caravans, but fixed-twin Unicorns rarely sit for long. The bodyshell quality is testament to Bailey of Bristol's design philosophy, and you can research this caravan's history on the CRiS website using the VIN below.

INTERIOR HIGHLIGHTS
Bedroom: Fixed twin single beds sit at the rear with a central walkway, each with its own reading light and storage beneath. The layout leads naturally through to the washroom, keeping the bedroom private.
Washroom: The full-width end washroom spans the back with a separate shower cubicle, cassette toilet and washbasin – genuinely one of the best washrooms of its era.
Lounge: The front lounge offers parallel seating that converts to either a double bed or two short singles, with overhead lockers, curtains and 12V, TV aerial and USB media points built into the seating.
Kitchen: A well-equipped kitchen with a Dometic 133-litre fridge, a Thetford dual-fuel hob with three gas burners and an electric hotplate, and a separate oven and grill.
Technology: Alde programmable wet central heating and hot water with its own control panel, a JVC speaker system, mains sockets and USB charging points, and the caravan’s central control panel.

EXTERIOR & TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS
The Cadiz tows on a single axle with the AL-KO ATC anti-snake system and AKS stabiliser hitch, both confirmed fitted at the tow point in our photographs. A motor mover is also fitted, taking the effort out of pitching and manoeuvring on site. Outside you will find a Whale exterior shower and water point, a Whale exterior mains socket, and an external gas connection point suitable for a BBQ.
The Alu-Tech bodyshell with GRP skin is one of the main reasons Unicorns of this generation hold their value so well. An AL-KO side lift jack is supplied with the caravan for wheel changes and levelling. This pre-owned example presents well throughout. If you would like to compare, our full range of used caravans includes island beds, French beds and family layouts.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Has the caravan been checked for damp?
A: Every used caravan we sell at Golden Castle is inspected before it goes on sale. Its Alu-Tech construction keeps timber out of the bodyshell specifically to resist damp. Ask us to talk you through the inspection when you visit.Q: Does it have a motor mover?
A: Yes – a motor mover is fitted, so pitching is done from the handset rather than by hand.Q: Can I tow this on my driving license?
A: Yes. With an MTPLM of 1491kg (verified from the weight plate), this caravan is towable on a standard UK license with a suitable tow car. Since the rules changed in 2021, drivers who passed after 1997 can tow up to 3,500kg of combined trailer weight.Q: Will my car tow it?
A: Using the 85% rule of thumb, a car with a kerbweight of around 1,750kg or more is a comfortable match. Tell us what you drive and we will check it for you.Q: What is the advantage of Alde heating over blown-air?
A: Alde is a wet central heating system, like radiators at home. It heats evenly and silently with no fan noise at night, and it also provides your hot water. It is one of the main reasons buyers seek out the Unicorn range for out-of-season touring.Q: Do you take part exchange?
A: Contact us with the details of your current caravan and we will be happy to discuss a part exchange valuation.Q: Can I check the caravan’s history myself?
A: Absolutely. The CRiS number is SGBSCC4BYGUN03111 and you can verify it independently on the CRiS website – we encourage every buyer to do so.
