  • INTERIOR HIGHLIGHTS

    Bedroom

The transverse island bed sits at the rear of the caravan and can be accessed from both sides. It comes with a quality mattress, padded headboard and reading lights. There is generous underbed storage on both sides, and the bed lifts on gas struts for easy access to the large storage area beneath.

    Washroom

The full-width end washroom is fully lined and features a separate shower cubicle with bi-fold door, a swivel-bowl toilet, a vanity unit with mirror and storage, and a heated towel rail. There is excellent ventilation via the roof light and the room has a quality, domestic feel.

    Lounge

The front parallel lounge gives you two generous facing sofas with scatter cushions, a central chest, and excellent headroom. It converts to a large double bed for additional sleeping. The panoramic front window floods the space with natural light, and there are USB charging points and reading lights within easy reach.

    Kitchen

The central kitchen is fitted with a dual-fuel hob (three gas burners plus one electric), a separate oven and grill, a full-height fridge freezer, and a stainless steel sink with drainer. There is plenty of worktop space and storage in the overhead lockers and drawers beneath.

    Technology

The Sintra comes with an Alde wet central heating system, a roof-mounted solar panel, an AL-KO ATC trailer control system, pre-wiring for a motor mover, USB charging points throughout, and a DAB radio with Bluetooth connectivity. The lighting is all LED throughout.

  • EXTERIOR & TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS

The 2025 Bailey Alicanto Grande Deluxe Sintra is built on Bailey’s Alu-Tech bodyshell, which uses bonded, laminated panels held in an interlocking aluminium framework. That means fewer joints for water to find its way in, which is exactly what you want in a pre-owned caravan. The bodyshell also carries Grade III heating and insulation as standard, so it is comfortable for touring well beyond the summer months.

Underneath, there is an AL-KO galvanised chassis with shock absorbers, an ATC trailer control system, and the caravan is pre-wired for a motor mover. The single-axle setup keeps it manoeuvrable on site and easy to hitch up, while the 8ft wide body gives you noticeably more living space than a standard-width tourer.

On the outside you will find GRP front and rear panels, alloy wheels, exterior speakers, a large gas locker, an external BBQ point, and two external 230V sockets. The roof-mounted solar panel keeps the leisure battery charged when you are off-grid, and the Alde heating system runs quietly and efficiently through radiators in every room.

  • Frequently Asked Questions

Has this caravan been damp checked?

Yes. Every used caravan we sell at Golden Castle goes through a full damp inspection using a calibrated moisture meter. We check all the key areas — walls, floors, window surrounds and roof lining — and we are happy to walk you through the results when you visit. If we find anything, we fix it before the caravan goes on sale.

What towing licence do I need?

The Bailey Alicanto Grande Sintra has an MTPLM of 1,700 kg. If you passed your driving test before 1 January 1997, your licence covers you to tow it with most cars. If you passed after that date, you can tow it provided the combined MAM of car and caravan does not exceed 3,500 kg, or you hold a B+E or C1 entitlement. We are happy to help you check.

What car do I need to tow this caravan?

As a general guide, your car’s kerb weight should be at least 85% of the caravan’s MTPLM for comfortable, stable towing. For the Sintra at 1,700 kg, that means a tow car with a kerb weight of around 1,445 kg or more. Most mid-size SUVs and estate cars will manage it comfortably. We can advise on suitability if you are unsure.

    Do you take part exchange?

Yes. We accept caravans, motorhomes and campervans in part exchange against any of our stock. Just let us know what you have and we will give you a fair, no-obligation valuation. You can send us the details online, by phone or in person.

Has this caravan been history checked?

Yes. We run a full history check on every used caravan we sell, including CRiS registration, outstanding finance, insurance write-off status and theft records. We are happy to share the results with you so you can buy with complete confidence.
