Q: Has the caravan been checked for damp?
A: Every used caravan we sell at Golden Castle is inspected before it goes on sale. This model’s SMART PURE construction replaced timber wall framing with polyurethane blocks specifically to resist rot. Ask us to talk you through the inspection when you enquire or visit.

Q: Can I tow this on my driving license?
A: Yes. With an MTPLM of 1397kg (verified from the weight plate), this caravan can be towed on a standard UK license with a suitable tow car. Since the rules changed in 2021, drivers who passed after 1997 can tow up to 3,500kg of combined trailer weight.

Q: Will my car tow it?
A: Using the 85% rule of thumb, a car with a kerbweight of around 1,650kg or more is a comfortable match – which covers a huge range of ordinary family cars. Tell us what you drive and we will check the match for you.

Q: How does the sliding island bed work?
A: During the day the bed retracts back by around 20cm at the touch of the frame, widening the walkway to the end washroom. At night you slide it out to its full 1.85m x 1.33m size. It stays made up either way.

Q: Is a 2015 caravan a sensible buy?
A: Very much so, if it has been looked after. This generation introduced Swift’s timber-free wall construction, and at this weight and price it is a superb first island bed caravan. Come and inspect it yourself – we encourage it.

Q: What do I need to buy before my first trip?
