First Impressions
The 545 Xtra opens the Laser range at £42,665 and is one of only two single axle models here, the other four all run twin axle. What sets it apart even within the range is the washroom position: it’s mid-ship, between the lounge and the retractable rear island bed, rather than tucked at the end like most of its siblings. That’s a genuinely different way of moving through the van, worth knowing if you’re used to an end washroom layout elsewhere in the Coachman range.
The retractable bed mechanism means the rear island bed pushes back out of the way by day, freeing up floor space, then pulls forward for the night. For anyone stepping up from Acadia but not ready for twin axle towing, this is where that conversation starts.
