Frequently Asked Questions
-
Will this awning fit my caravan?
Yes — if your caravan’s awning rail or kador height is between 235-250 cm, and your rail length allows for a 300 cm or 350 cm wide awning. It’s designed for that range. -
How do I set it up?
Unroll the awning from its PVC bag, fit the front leg & roof supports, inflate each beam using the manual pump, zip in the front and side walls if required, peg down, and use the heavy webbing straps to secure the base. -
What’s the difference between Ivy and Ivy Elite?
The Elite version uses Climatech SY17 fabric, which is thicker and more durable than the standard 210D used on the Ivy version. So Elite weighs more but offers better performance, especially in more adverse weather or frequent use. -
Does it offer full protection or can I open it up?
It can be fully enclosed using zip-in front and side walls, or partially opened for airflow. The mesh door helps in warmer weather to keep insects out while providing airflow. -
How heavy is the awning, and how portable?
Elite 300 version ≈ 22 kg, Elite 350 ≈ 24 kg. The standard Ivy (non-Elite) is lighter (≈ 16-17 kg) for the same widths. Bulkier pack-down due to the stronger fabric. -
How well does it perform in windy or wet weather?
With the stronger fabric, inflation stability, webbing straps, and proper pegging, it handles moderate wind and rain well. However, for severe weather, zip up panels, reduce exposure and ensure tension is good. Elite fabric improves resistance to water penetration. -
What’s included in the package?
All items listed under “Included Features” above: awning, bag, pump, supports, sides, front wall, straps etc. Optional accessories are extra. -
What warranty does it come with?
It has the standard 12-month manufacturer’s warranty from Camptech for material or workmanship defects. -
How do I choose between 300 cm and 350 cm widths?
Measure your caravan’s awning rail or kador length. If it’s closer to 275-295 cm, the 350 cm wide version gives good overlap and coverage; for shorter rails the 300 cm version will reduce excess hanging. -
Is the roll bag safe to leave on during transit?
Yes — the awning is designed so the attached PVC bag can stay on the caravan during transit, making packing/transport easier. Just ensure it is firmly secured, all parts packed inside, and straps or elements not flapping.
