This veranda bar fits between the main uprights of the Viscount 400 Air Awning. When inflated, it supports the panel to maintain an upright veranda-like lip that allows air in while maintaining some enclosure. In wind or bad weather, you can deflate and secure it flat. The material is durable and lightweight, designed to integrate with the standard awning setup. It’s ideal for warm evenings, pet access, or just improving natural ventilation without opening full panels.

• Will this veranda bar fit my Viscount 400 awning?
  Yes — it’s specifically made for the Viscount 400 model. The accessory list for Viscount 400 includes both SL517-F (front) and SL517-G (side) veranda bars.

• How do I install it?
  Inflate the bar using your existing awning pump, then slot or clip it between the main air uprights at the front (or side). The protective sleeve goes around the tube for durability.

• Does it require a separate pump?
  No — it uses the same air pump as your awning. You just need to connect the valve and inflate.

• Does it reduce weather protection when in use?
  Some reduction of enclosure — panels are lowered half-way. In heavy wind or rain you can deflate and re-close panels to maintain protection. It’s best used when weather is mild.

• Can I use it on just one side (front or side)?
  Yes — depending on your preference or site layout. SL517-F is for front panels; SL517-G is for side panels.

• How does it affect airflow and ventilation?
  It increases airflow by allowing panels to be dropped part way, helping reduce condensation and improve cooling. Especially useful in warm weather or with pets and children.
