Shade. Shelter. Privacy. All in one inflatable campervan sun canopy — no poles, no faff.

The Maypole Stratford Pro MP9592 attaches to your campervan's existing kadar rail in minutes. Purpose-built for campervans with awning rail heights of 180–210cm. Pump it up, peg it down, and you've got a 2.6m-wide living space with full UPF 50+ sun protection and 3000mm waterproofing. When you want open air, unzip the walls. When you need privacy, zip them back. It's that simple.

  • Built for campervans — dual 4mm/6mm kadar beading fits any standard campervan awning rail at 180–210cm height. No adapters, no guesswork.
  • Single-point inflation in minutes — one pump, one valve, one rigid air frame. No poles to slot together, no fibreglass to snap in the dark.
  • Open-air canopy or private room — 2 zip-on side walls and a front wall with window included as standard. Remove them all for sun shade; add them back for full privacy.
  • 3000mm waterproof, UPF 50+ rated — 300D Oxford polyester with taped seams throughout. Built for real British weather, not just the sunny days.
  • Everything in the box — side walls, front wall with window, webbing storm straps, steel pegs, hand pump with gauge, and a carry bag. Nothing sold separately.

  • WHY WE LOVE IT

The Stratford Pro Air Sun Canopy for Campervans gives you the best of both worlds — open-air shade when you want it, full privacy when you need it,  without the bulk or setup time of a traditional awning.

Its single-point inflation system means you go from bag to ready in minutes. No poles to wrestle with, no frame sections to slot together in the dark. And because the side walls and front panel are included as standard and zip on independently, you can configure it exactly how you want it at any time. It’s the kind of thing that sounds simple but makes a huge difference when you’re on site.

  • STANDOUT FEATURES
    • Single-point inflation — one valve inflates the entire air frame. Pump to 6–7 PSI and it’s rigid and stable.
    • Campervan-specific fit — designed for awning rail heights of 180–210cm, the standard range for campervans and van conversions.
    • Dual kadar beading — 4mm and 6mm beading sewn in, compatible with virtually any campervan awning channel.
    • Modular walls — side walls and front wall each zip on and off independently. Open up one side, close the other, or fully enclose the space.
    • 3000mm hydrostatic head — serious waterproofing, not a token rating. Taped seams add an extra layer of protection at every join.
    • UPF 50+ — blocks over 98% of harmful UV rays. Safe for the whole family on sunny pitches.
  • REAL-WORLD ADVICE
    • Pressure in hot weather — inflate to 6–7 PSI in normal conditions. In strong sunlight or high temperatures, reduce to 4–5 PSI. Air expands in heat and over-inflation can damage the beam.
    • Deflating — unscrew the bottom assembly of the air valve (not the top cap) to release air quickly. Be prepared for a sudden loud noise when the valve opens.
    • Condensation vs leaks — if you see moisture on the inside of the fabric in cool or damp conditions, this is natural condensation from temperature difference. It is not a leak.
    • Storage — always pack the canopy completely dry. Storing damp will cause mould that permanently damages the 300D coating.
    • Cleaning — warm water and a soft sponge only. Never use detergent or chemical cleaners — they strip the waterproof coating and UV stabilisers.
    • Sizing straps — buckle the straps between the legs before pegging down. These keep the arch geometry correct and stop the legs spreading on soft or uneven ground.

  • FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    Will this fit my campervan?
The MP9592 fits campervans with an awning rail height between 180cm and 210cm. It requires either a 4mm or 6mm kadar (awning channel) rail — both beading sizes are sewn into the canopy. If you’re unsure, call us on 01452 730100.

    Are the side walls included?
Yes. Two side walls and one front wall with a built-in window and blinds are included in the box as standard. Nothing is sold separately.

How long does it take to set up?
Most customers are up and pegged down in under 10 minutes. Slide the beading into your kadar rail, inflate the single air valve to 6–7 PSI, buckle the sizing straps, and peg down the legs and webbing straps.

What pressure should I inflate to?
6–7 PSI in normal conditions. Reduce to 4–5 PSI in direct sunlight or high temperatures to account for air expansion. Never exceed 7 PSI.

Can I use this in the rain?
Yes. The 300D Oxford polyester fabric has a 3000mm hydrostatic head waterproof rating with taped seams. It is designed for real weather use. Do not use in strong winds or gale conditions.
