REAL-WORLD ADVICE
- Pressure in hot weather — inflate to 6–7 PSI in normal conditions. In strong sunlight or high temperatures, reduce to 4–5 PSI. Air expands in heat and over-inflation can damage the beam.
- Deflating — unscrew the bottom assembly of the air valve (not the top cap) to release air quickly. Be prepared for a sudden loud noise when the valve opens.
- Condensation vs leaks — if you see moisture on the inside of the fabric in cool or damp conditions, this is natural condensation from temperature difference. It is not a leak.
- Storage — always pack the canopy completely dry. Storing damp will cause mould that permanently damages the 300D coating.
- Cleaning — warm water and a soft sponge only. Never use detergent or chemical cleaners — they strip the waterproof coating and UV stabilisers.
- Sizing straps — buckle the straps between the legs before pegging down. These keep the arch geometry correct and stop the legs spreading on soft or uneven ground.
