Coachman VIP 575 – 2019 Caravan

This pre-owned 2019 Coachman VIP 575 is a proper four-berth tourer built for couples and small families who want comfort without compromise. The VIP sits at the top of Coachman’s touring range, and it shows — from the Alde wet central heating running through every room to the quality of the cabinetry and soft furnishings throughout.

Coachman build every caravan using their Advanced Bonded Construction (ABC) method. That means fully bonded 25mm aluminium sandwich sidewalls with a polystyrene insulation core, a 25mm bonded roof, and a robust 45mm sandwich-construction floor with internal bracing. It’s a build method that’s been cold-chamber tested for insulation performance, and it gives the VIP a solid, well-insulated shell that shrugs off a British winter.

Sitting on an AL-KO galvanised chassis with the AKS stabiliser fitted as standard, the VIP 575 weighs in at an MRO of 1,484 kg and a MTPLM of 1,630 kg, leaving a user payload of 146 kg. That MTPLM keeps it well within reach of a wide range of tow cars on a standard UK licence. Payload is on the tighter side, so it’s worth being mindful of what you load — but for a couple touring with essentials, it’s perfectly manageable.

This particular example also comes fitted with a roof-mounted solar panel, giving you a handy top-up charge to the leisure battery when you’re away from hook-up. If you’re browsing our full range, take a look at our other used caravans currently in stock at Golden Castle.

  • INTERIOR HIGHLIGHTS

    Bedroom
The main sleeping area sits behind the kitchen and can be screened off from the lounge with a divider. A generous transverse island bed gives comfortable sleeping with walk-around access on both sides. Overhead lockers, full-height wardrobes, and bedside cabinets provide plenty of storage. A corner vanity unit with mirror completes the bedroom space. The front lounge also converts into a double bed when needed, giving the VIP its full four-berth capability.

    Washroom
A full-width end washroom means no compromises. There’s a separate shower cubicle, a swivel-bowl cassette toilet, and a vanity basin with mirror above. It’s a proper, self-contained room — not a wet room where everything gets soaked.

    Lounge
The front lounge features parallel face-to-face seating with a central chest of drawers that doubles as a coffee table. A large panoramic front window and rooflight flood the space with natural light during the day. The seating converts to a double bed on an evening, giving a comfortable second sleeping area.

    Kitchen
A well-equipped central kitchen provides a dual-fuel three-burner hob, a separate oven and grill, and a microwave. An undercounter fridge keeps supplies chilled, while deep drawers, overhead cabinets, and an extendable worktop give you proper space to prepare meals without feeling cramped.

    Technology
Alde wet central heating is fully programmable via a dedicated control panel, providing both radiator heating and continuous hot water on demand. A DAB radio keeps you entertained, USB charging points are dotted around the caravan, and a TV aerial with wiring for a flat-screen set means you can settle in for the evening.

  • EXTERIOR & TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS

On the outside, the Coachman VIP 575 cuts a clean, modern profile with its signature Coachman front panel and blue accent detailing. It rides on 15-inch alloy wheels and sits on the proven AL-KO galvanised chassis with the AKS anti-sway stabiliser — a combination that inspires confidence on the road.

A roof-mounted solar panel provides a genuine off-grid advantage, keeping your leisure battery topped up between hook-ups. There’s an external 230V mains socket for running appliances outside, and an external gas BBQ point for cooking al fresco when the weather plays ball. The gas locker up front is easily accessible, and the Whale water system manages your fresh water supply.

Double-glazed windows throughout help with insulation, while the Coachman ABC bodyshell provides a sealed, weather-tight structure that’s built to last. You can check the full history of this caravan through the CRiS register for complete peace of mind.

  • Frequently Asked Questions

Has this caravan been damp checked?
Every used caravan at Golden Castle goes through a thorough pre-sale inspection that includes a full damp check. We’re happy to walk you through the results in person when you visit.

Can I tow this caravan on a standard UK licence?
Yes. With an MTPLM of 1,630 kg, the VIP 575 is well within the limits for a standard UK licence. Just make sure your tow car’s kerbweight comfortably matches — as a general guide, aim for the caravan’s MTPLM to be no more than 85% of your car’s kerbweight for confident towing.

    Will my car tow it?
A mid-size SUV or estate with a kerbweight of around 1,900 kg or above would be a comfortable match. If you’re unsure, give us a call and we’ll help you check the numbers.

The payload is 146 kg — is that enough?
It’s on the lighter side, so it’s worth thinking about what you typically carry. For a couple touring with clothes, food, and a few extras, it’s perfectly manageable. You won’t be packing the kitchen sink, but then most couples don’t need to. A roof-mounted solar panel is already fitted, so there’s no need to carry a separate portable panel.

Can I check the history of this caravan?
Absolutely. You can verify this caravan’s identity and history through the CRiS (Caravan Registration and Identification Scheme) website at cris.co.uk using the VIN number. We encourage every buyer to do this.

    Do you offer part exchange?
Yes — we welcome part exchanges. Bring your current caravan or motorhome along and we’ll give you a fair, no-obligation valuation on the spot.
